Welcome Founders Classical Academy of Corinth Families,
We are looking forward to having your children in the program. We have an exciting year planned for your students for the 2020-2021 school year. If you have any questions or concerns during the school hours, please contact Mrs. Rachel DiFurio-King at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you need to contact someone during Extended Day hours about being late or any other urgent matters, you may contact the team leader on their personal cell phone listed below. We will send a separate letter addressing FCA Corinth Extended Day 2020 COVID Protocols that will be followed while we are in a pandemic situation.
If you are making ANY changes to your child's schedule, please email Mrs. Rachel DiFurio-King at email@example.com and your child's teacher BEFORE 12:00 p.m. If you do not notify us before noon and you come to pick up your child at carline, you will need to park and come in and sign your child out. If your child is absent from school, please notify Mrs. DiFurio-King.

Snack Time Policy:
Please provide healthy snacks for your child, as we will not provide snacks for students. Remind your child to save snacks for after school. Many children like to eat their snacks during the day and come to Extended Day without a snack. Do not send sodas, candy, or any products containing peanuts/tree nuts with your children for they will not be allowed to have them in the Extended Day program; we have children with food allergies. Please do not send food that will need to be heated or cooked in the microwave.
Extended Day will be spending a great deal of time outside this year. We are asking that every parent send a refillable water bottle with your child’s name on it. This will greatly help the staff out by allowing kids to have readily available water outside on the playground. You are welcome to send a water bottle daily with your child.
A homework area will be available for students to work on their homework.
The homework time is to allow your student the opportunity to start their homework. This is a noise-free time. We are happy to assist with homework when possible but cannot make sure each student’s work is correct or completed. If a child is disrupting another student from getting their work done, disciplinary actions will take place. If there is a subject that you wish to have your child work on at home please inform an Extended Day worker.
Games, Toys, and Electronic Devices:
All students may bring personal games, toys, etc. to Extended Day; however, staff will not be responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items. In the event a personal item becomes a distraction, it will be collected by Extended Day staff and given directly to the parent at pick up.
Cell Phones and Tablets: cell phones and tablets are not allowed during Extended Day except during the pandemic. If your child needs to call or text you, Mrs. Rachel DiFurio-King and/or the Extended Day team lead can do so for them.
Signing In/Out Policy:
We ask parents to be diligent in letting the staff know if your child’s schedule will be changing. Your child must report to Extended Day straight from class and sign-in with the Extended Day staff. If your child participates in any after school activities, they must first come to Extended Day and sign-in. We will then allow the child to go to their pre-scheduled activity. We will be calling parents if a child does not sign-in by 3:15pm. If you know that your child will not be in the Extended Day program due to sickness, vacation, etc., please send Mrs.DiFurio-King an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you come to pick-up, the door will be locked. An Extended Day staff member will let you in. Come in, sign out with a staff member and you can pick your child up in the cafeteria. We are hoping to bring the students outside onto the play area and fields behind the school. If we are outside, come to the field and sign out your child there. Until we get to know you, we will be checking identifications. Please have your license or yellow tag out and ready to show the staff. ALL students must be signed out. Students will not be allowed to leave with anyone that is not on the approved list that you have provided during registration or without a written permission slip. There are NO exceptions to this policy.
Fees & Tuition Policy:
$30.00 non-refundable registration fee, CASH ONLY is due on the day your child starts the program.
No student will be allowed to attend until all forms are complete and fees can be paid on the first day.
The Extended Day Program begins Tuesday, September 8th (the first full week of in person school) and ends on Thursday, May 27th. Please note: there are no provisions for children before or after these times.
Tuition is calculated at 180 days and divided by 9 months (Aug/Sept-May payments).
“Tuition A” program (Full-Time) $265.00 per month/$220.00 2nd child/$195.00 3rd child
Monday - Friday (school days) 3:10-6:15pm (There is no prorated schedule/tuition)
“Tuition B” program (Part-Time) $160.00 per month (no sibling discount)
Tuition B program is for students who attend partial program either by:
- Being picked up before 4:45pm daily or
- By attending 3 days or less each week (picked up by 6:15pm) (There is no prorated schedule/tuition).
- There is no daily rate/drop in
Please note the following:
- Tuition is due on the 1st of the month and must be paid in full no later than the 10th.
- You must pay via K12PaymentCenter except for the first month -September -which will be by check, money order, or cashier’s check made out to Corinth Classical Academy; child’s name in memo line). NO CASH will be accepted except for $30.00 registration per family.
- Please do not drop off checks at the front desk or with your child’s teacher. Payments not made online must be made to the ESD staff directly.
- If a payment is received after the 10th a $20.00 late fee will be assessed.
- If tuition & late fees are not paid by the 20th of the month your child may be dropped from the program.
Late Pick-Up Fee Policy:
Starting Thursday, September 24th, late fees will be assessed to your student’s account if you are late picking them up. The late fee is $1 for every minute after 6:15pm (after 4:45pm for Part-Time tuition). All late fees must be paid in cash by the end of the month or your student will be at risk from being dropped from the program.
It is a campus wide policy that ALL students remain in school uniform while on campus after school, unless changing for a school athletic activity or another pre-approved school activity. We will not allow students to change for non-school related activities.
We want to provide each student the opportunity to succeed in the Extended Day program. Should a concern arise regarding a child’s behavior/needs, parents will be contacted to discuss/review the situation. Staff will utilize a variety of appropriate interventions to address the behavior. If inappropriate behavior should continue, or if a child’s behavior becomes unsafe for him/her or others, he/she may be suspended temporarily or permanently from membership. A meeting with the director will be held to determine permanent suspension. In addition, if a child’s needs are greater than can be met, the program may not be a suitable option.
We would like to offer many fun activities and games for the children. If you are interested in donating games, legos, crayons etc. we would greatly appreciate your donation.
